Opened 25 years ago by owner-chef Mary Coronado, who was the Grand Prize winner in the 2007 SalsaFest Salsa Challenge. Mary also took the grand prize in 2008, and again this year in the 2011 SalsaFest Salsa Challenge! What makes her salsa so irresistable is the unique combination of spices.
The family restaurant’s name, El Coronado, or the crowned, implies that guests can eat like kings and won’t go hungry when they come here.

Locals gather here all times of the day: for breakfast, lunch, midday coffee, and dinner. It’s not only a place to eat, it’s a place to gather with friends.
Besides the excellent Mexican food, you’ll find tasty home-made desserts. Della, Mary’s daughter, makes the best strawberry and chocolate cakes.
Come in and try the food, desserts, and Mary’s award winning salsa, voted the best on the Trail!!
