In continuous operation for over 32 years - Fernando the lead cook has been on the job for over 20-years and has only missed 2 days. The original adobe structure dates back 80 years. Solomon was the original County seat and one of the earliest settlements in the Gila Valley - settled in 1876's by Jewish settlers from Pennsylvania. Coronado had a settlement here several hundred years ago. Our lady of Guadalupe Parish (down the street) was established in 1878. According to owner Tom Claridge, some winter visitors come to La Paloma as a first stop before they even go to their local home. Chilies sun dried from the field, sopapillas, home made enchilada sauce, and frozen margaritas are part of the bill of fare of this unpretentious restaurant. |
